01/01/2010 14:22Trudy at the age of 50 i decided now that children have grown and left home i will learn the button accordian, something i have wanted to do for many years. So with some anxiety and the thought of being the oldest student on this earth i went along to The Coventry Comhaltas at the Hersall Inn, I need not have worried everyone was so welcoming and made me feel at ease immediatley. I go for my lessons every tuesday , Frank who is my teacher encourages me and i must say has an awful lot of patience with me.!! I would encourage anyone who is interested in traditional music to go along to the Hersall Inn and observe and participate in the fantastic music sessions and teaching sessions. I find it a breath of fresh air to see so much dedication and passion given by everybody involved in this organisation and would like to wish you all a very happy New Year, and keep up the good work.
29/10/2009 20:52Jarlath Mulhern PROWhat a fantastic session we had again last Tuesday 27/10/09. Many many thanks to all musicians who turn up every week what ever the weather, both local and those who travelled from Birmingham and Worcester. Matthew Murphy (15) wowed the packed room with his superb fingerwork on the piano accordion and sounded even better when accompanied by the fiddle virtuoso Neal Pointon (14), guys thank you very much for your support over the years and for many years to come. Everyone is welcome to come along and join in the craic :)

We really enjoyed the pictures and all the news from the branch. I am sure your expertise will convince her to come to a session sometime!
07/03/2007 18:13MichaelRegards from Vienna, Austria. Our Ceili- and Set-Dancing Group had a great St. Pats Ceili and we had the joy and honour to welcome not only the Irish Ambassador to Austria, but the Irish Minister of State, Mrs. Mary Wallace, too. Pictures can be seen at http://members.aon.at/irishdance/html/ceili_2007_2.html
